Hello Gord and Michelle:

On Friday Oct 3, 2008, we said goodbye to our best Big Boy, Love Dog Marley.
He was the last of his litter, and we were so happy to pick him up.
Michelle, you said "keep him with you all the time, and be sure you have a fenced in yard".
Well, we work out of the home, so keeping him with us was not a problem. After 2003, we moved out of Toronto to a wooded 23 acre property near Guelph. We fenced in 12 acres so that he'd always be safe, and the farm neighbors thought we were nuts
to do that for a dog.:-)

You also said he'd have a wonderful personality...HE DID. He was loving, interested, kind, intelligent, easy-going, attentive. He loved people, other dogs, cats, and frogs (seriously, he'd find them in the garden and seranade them, his tail going back and forth like a metronome.) He was too smart for obedience class. He was healthy, solid as a rock for all these years. You know how you always look for Standard Poodles when you're out and about. Well, we've never met one like Marley. He still had that jet black coat and deep brown eyes right up until his last day.

On Thursday, Oct 2 he collapsed, and after rushing him to Guelph Ontario Veterinary Clinic, we found that he had a kind of bleeding tumour that was very aggressive. As in, you have two weeks notice if even that. We were able to bring him home, where he passed on with grace. He was the best there was...we're so thankful for having him in our lives.

Thank you so much.
