The Beginning of it all:

Am/Can CH. Love Story Of Torbec
(Oliver)

Best In Show
Sire of 29 Champions

The Canadian Kennel Club registered "Torbec" on April 1st 1967.  Yes, in Canada's centennial year on April Fools Day.  However, the excellent to outstanding quality of Torbec Standard Poodles is no April Fools joke.

Since 1967 we have bred to an ideal:  pure black to pure black, pure apricot to pure apricot, tall to very tall, elegant, athletic, intelligent, wonderfully versatile and most always with a sense of humor. Breeding such quality poodles for over three decades has tested and proven our ideal, thus carving it in the cornerstone of our kennel.

Over the years, Torbec Standard Poodles have emigrated from Canada to homes in many countries throughout the world.  In fact, they reside on every continent except Antarctica.

In addition to their Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) registration, most Torbec Standards are also registered with the American Kennel Club (AKC).

To possess a Torbec Standard, is to bring joy, loyalty and total devotion into your life.  That is Torbec's pledge.
