The Canadian Kennel Club registered "Torbec" on April 1st 1967.  Yes, on April Fools Day in Canada's centennial year.

Since that day we have bred to an ideal:  pure black to pure black, pure apricot to pure apricot, tall to very tall, elegant, athletic, intelligent, wonderfully versatile and most always with a sense of humor. Breeding such quality poodles, as those featured on these pages,  over a period of four decades has tested and proven our ideal, thus carving it in the cornerstone of our kennel.

Here on the pages of this special 40th Anniversary section, we present just a few of the many wonderful individuals whose influence in our line remains even today and/or who have represented our line  at shows throughout  the world.
